The Hospital HLA San Carlos is a part of the HLA group of hospitals and was first opened back in 1971.

The hospital is conveniently located just 300 metres from the center of Denia in the Marina Alta area.

The San Carlos offers a wide range of medical treatments and has a number of specialist units including Traffic Accident Unit, Ophthalmology Unit, Assisted Reproduction Unit, Cardiology Unit, Gynecology Unit and a Laparoscopic Surgery Unit for Morbid Obesity.

The hospital offers the very latest in medical and diagnostic equipment and has over 60 highly trained medical professionals and healthcare specialists. The hospital is available to Sanitas customers who purchase one of our private health insurance policies.

Patient Information

You will need to present your insurance documentation and a form of identification such as an NIE or passport at the admissions area on arrival. If you are accessing the hospital after 22:00, please enter via the emergency area. Admissions is open from 08:00 to 22:00 and is located on the ground floor.

Each room has a television which must be requested via the admissions desk. There is also a guest bed in each room for any visitors to use.

There are no limitations as to the number of visitors a patient may receive, but it is requested that there is no more than one visitor after 22:00. General visiting hours are from 08:00 to 22:00. Please keep all noise to a minimum at all times.
