High Quality Service
All processes are carefully monitored to ensure that the extracted cells are of the highest quality. This continues throughout collection, validation and the transfer of the sample to the blood bank. Samples are maintained at a constant temperature and are transported with a temperature recorder chip. The samples are processed 365 days a year and within 48 hours of collection. Only the best quality cells are processed: those which do not meet the quality criteria will not be stored unless the family chooses to do so and a fully personalised advice service is provided throughout the process.

Our cryopreservation bank meets all the requirements of Netcord and ISO 9001, and is fully qualified and guaranteed. We also have an expert medical advisory team, who ensure that the highest standards are maintained at all times.

Sanitas are members of of the SEGO (Spanish Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics) and make € 20,000 available to the family, if it is necessary to use the UCB sample transplantation (terms and conditions apply).
Availability and Costs
This service is available to both members and non-members *.
The price of the full service including collection, analysis and cryopreservation of UCB is as follows:
- Upon contracting the service: €490, which includes everything required for the extraction and transportation of the cells to our bank.
- Processing and storage: €1,500
- Annual maintenance of the sample: €80 from the first birthday.
Currently, samples can be cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen at -196 º for up to 20 years. Sanitas maintain our commitment all this time.
- Special terms for Sanitas clients: If you are a Sanitas policyholder, you will receive special rates: - Upon contracting the service: € 490
- Processing and storage €1,310 (A discount of €190).
- As a Sanitas client, we take care of all your annual maintenance fees (conditions apply).
