By train: Within the RENFE Cercanias network, the corresponding stop is Peñota on Line C1, linking Santurtzi with Bilbao Abando.
By bus: The official access page says there are three nearby Bizkaibus stops. On Avenida de Cristobal de Murrieta, stop 0333 serves routes including A2315, A3115, A3323, A3136, A3332, A3333 and A3335. On the seaward side, stop 0327 also serves the hospital with routes including A2315, A2336, A3333, A3332, A3335, A3136, A3115 and A3323. The upper stop, 0438 San Juan de Dios (Zomillo), is served by route A3129.
Local access: Because the hospital sits on the Santurtzi-Portugalete boundary rather than deep inside a tighter old centre, it is generally more manageable for repeat appointments, family visits and mixed public transport journeys from the wider Bilbao area.
