Fuengirola Feria 2012 - Feria del Rosario Spain News

This weekend sees the start of the annual Fuengirola Feria commonly known as the Feria del Rosaria.

The event takes place at the Fuengirola Feria ground in Los Boliches and runs from Saturday 6th until Friday 12th October.

This traditional event is a great occasion for the whole family with plenty of activities on offer including Flamenco dancing, singing, music, magic shows, choirs and children’s entertainment. There is also a fun fair which is packed with the usual ferris wheels and dodgems. Check the schedule in advance as on one day during the feria, there is a 50% reduction in the cost of the rides.

During the festivities there will be an abundance of food and drink on offer including the traditional drink called "fino" which is a pale, dry sherry.

Traditional attire is worn by many of the locals (and foreigners) including Flamenco dresses for the ladies and short jackets and high wasted trousers for the men.

The fair ground is located half way between Fuengirola and Los Boliches train stations. Admission is free although there can be a small fee for some of the events.

A schedule of events can be obtained from the Tourist Office which is in Fuengirola next to the Indoor Market.
