How do the qualification periods work?

All vital emergencies are covered immediately. This includes issues such as broken bones, not just life-threatening situations such as a heart attack for example.  From day 1 of the policy, you are also covered to see a general doctor or specialist and for routine diagnostic tests and also for outpatient emergencies.

There are no qualification periods applicable to dental care or travel assistance.  We do not offer policies without qualification periods unless you are transferring your cover from BUPA or another Spanish insurer.  They apply to all other applications and are commonly used throughout Spain to prevent fraud taking place with regard to pre-existing conditions.  Unfortunately providing a doctor´s report would not alter this.
