Add-on

Clinica Universidad de Navarra (CUN)

from €38,40 / month per person

Add one of Spain's most prestigious private hospitals - the Clinica Universidad de Navarra - to your Sanitas medical network, at its Pamplona and Madrid sites.

What is the Sanitas Clinica Universidad de Navarra (CUN) add-on?

The Sanitas Clinica Universidad de Navarra (CUN) add-on adds the CUN hospitals in Pamplona and Madrid to comprehensive Sanitas plans, for the specialties each plan already covers. It is always taken With Co-payment, a flat €10 per consultation, diagnostic test or emergency. It costs from €38,40 a month per person and can be taken out up to age 75.

This add-on (complemento) extends your Sanitas medical network to include the Clinica Universidad de Navarra (CUN), giving you access to its hospitals in Pamplona and Madrid. You can add it if you hold a comprehensive Sanitas health plan - it is not available on basic or partial-cover plans.

Once added, you can use the services and specialties you already hold on your base plan at the CUN, provided the clinic offers them and they fall within the specialties Sanitas has agreed with the hospital - from cardiology, oncology and neurology to traumatology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, gynaecology and digestive medicine.

The CUN is a non-profit university teaching hospital with a care model centred entirely on the patient and built on treatment, research and teaching. With more than 50 years of experience and over 700,000 patients, it has been accredited by the Joint Commission International since 2004 and ranks among Spain's leading hospitals in cardiology, gynaecology, general surgery, medical oncology, digestive, nephrology, pulmonology and neurology - and among the country's top five in traumatology and orthopaedics, ophthalmology, urology and paediatrics.

Its Madrid hospital, opened in 2017, runs the same care model as Pamplona, with seven operating theatres for major surgery, 60 inpatient beds, intensive-care and neonatal units, and latest-generation imaging and oncology technology including its own PET-CT.

The add-on simply adds two hospitals to your existing Sanitas network: the Hospital CUN Navarra in Pamplona (Avda. de Pio XII, 36) and the Hospital CUN Madrid (calle del Marquesado de Santa Marta, 1). You attend on the same direct, cashless basis as any other Sanitas centre - there is nothing to pay upfront and claim back, because the cover is never provided on a reimbursement basis. The usual terms of your policy - its limits, exclusions, co-payments and waiting periods - apply at the CUN exactly as they do across the rest of your network.

Always with co-payment: Unlike most add-ons, the CUN complement is always taken With Co-payment, whatever your base plan. A flat €10 applies to each consultation, diagnostic test and emergency at the clinic.

How to add it: The CUN complement is selected at the application or renewal stage. Unlike most add-ons it is contracted individually, so it does not have to be taken out for everyone on the policy. It can be added at any time, up to age 75.
