Sanitas Professional Plus is a private health insurance plan built for self-employed people in Spain. It provides full access to the Sanitas medical network (GPs, specialists, tests, hospitalisation and surgery), while keeping the monthly premium lower through a structured co-payment system.
What makes Professional Plus different is its Total Protection benefits — extra support designed around real-life “autonomo” problems if you are hospitalised or temporarily unable to work. This can include services such as help with housework, home delivery of medicines, physiotherapy at home, and premium reimbursement (within policy limits).
You also have cover for healthcare following an accident at work or a road traffic accident, plus emergency travel assistance abroad for short stays, plus dental services, and access to digital healthcare through the App.
