Easter Opening Hours Revealed For Supermarkets Across Spain

Celebrations for the Semana Santa Holy Week 2022 have already begun in Spain and two national holidays will be marked across the country at the end of this week. They are Holy Thursday, on April 14 and Good Friday which falls on April 15.
With these holidays in sight, many stores and supermarkets will be changing their opening hours, if they open at all.
Below we have listed the opening hours for some of the most popular stores over the Easter holidays. However, some store times may vary across different regions, so please check the individual store's website in the area where you live or are visiting.
Mercadona
As usual, all Mercadona supermarkets will remain closed during the Easter holidays.
However, the company has made the decision to open in the morning on Holy Thursday between the hours of 09:00 to 15:00. The stores will be closed on Good Friday.
Mercadona will maintain its usual weekend opening hours. This means they will be open on Saturday 16 but closed on Sunday 17.

Lidl
Lidl’s scheduled opening hours vary across the autonomous communities, with some stores opening on Sundays with limited hours, while others remain closed.
The usual opening hours for Monday to Saturday are 9:00 to 21:30.

Carrefour
Carrefour stores normally remain open on Sundays and holidays, this does however depend on the autonomous community they are in.

Consum
Consum supermarkets will maintain their normal opening hours of 09:00 to 21:30 over the Easter week, including Holy Thursday. They will however remain closed on Good Friday and Monday, April 18.

Alcampo
Alcampo’s usual opening hours are between 09:00 and 22:00, Monday to Saturday. However, the company has stated that some operating hours may change during Holy Week, so customers are advised to check the website for local store opening times.

Dia supermarket store's usual opening hours are 9:00 to 21:30, Monday to Saturday but on Sundays and holidays, most stores' opening hours vary. Again it is advised that you check the website of your local store here.
